UniAssFin, Agenzia Generale UnipolSai con sede a Frosinone, cercava un brand da associare al loro nuovo sistema di assicurazioni collegato alla tutela della famiglia.

La loro idea di partenza era costruire un personaggio intorno alla figura del canguro, che coniugasse simpatia assieme al senso di protezione che infonde il marsupiale.

UniAssFin, General UnipolSai agency based in Frosinone, was looking for a brand to associate with their new insurance system linked to the family protection.

Their initial idea was to build a character around the figure of the kangaroo, who combine sympathy with the sense of security that gives the marsupial.

Bozze Preliminari // Primary Sketch​​​​​​​

Il primo passo è stato creare di getto alcuni volti per familiarizzare con il personaggio e dare scelte al committente sul tipo di personaggio da realizzare.

The first step was to create some sketched face so to take familiarity with the character and give choices to the customer on the type of character to achieve.

Creazione del Personaggio // Character Creation​​​​​​​

Una volta scelto il volto adatto, si passa a definire il personaggio in ogni suo aspetto. 

Ho studiato così il suo volto da ogni angolazione per poterci lavorare con assoluta precisione in ogni illustrazione futura.

Definito il volto, ho applicato lo stesso processo con il corpo, studiando sia la posizione eretta che la posizione seduta tipica dei canguri.

After choosing the appropriate face, I switch to define the character in every aspect.

So I studied the character face from every angle to be able to work with absolute precision in every future drawing.

Defined the face, I applied the same process with the body, studying both standing position that the seating position typical of kangaroos.

Definito il caposaldo genitoriale, su richiesta sono passato a lavorare sul pargolo.

Ho utilizzato la stessa base del prototipo genitoriale così da non creare personaggi avulsi tra loro, dopodichè ho seguito il medesimo iter lavorativo.

Defined the parental stronghold, on buyer request  I've passed to work on the infant.

I used the parental prototype's basis, so to not create characters divorced from each other, after which I followed the same work process.

Finita la creazione del personaggio, definito oramai nella sua interezza, mi son divertito ad assemblare i due canguri ed a dare una base di colore che rispecchiasse e richiamasse i loghi della UniAssFin, così da dare ai futuri grafici una palette di base su cui lavorare.

After character creation, now defined in the whole, I enjoyed to assemble the two kangaroos and give'em a color base that reflects and would evoke the UniAssFin's logos, so either to give a basic palette to work from for the future graphics .

Soddisfatti del personaggio, come ulteriore richiesta ho lavorato sul logo del pacchetto assicurativo.

Sulle 10 proposte inviate, la più accreditata fu la scritta, che venne quindi rielaborata ed utilizzata come logo finale (nonostante il mio tifo per il logo N°3).

Satisfied with the character, as further request I've worked on the insurance package's logo.

On the 10 proposals submitted, the most likely was the written one, which was then reworked and used as the final logo (despite my cheering for the logo # 3).
